What are some of the things you like to do? What are some of the things you are good at? If your were to use one word answers to describe the things you like to do, you would be telling me a list of our new part of speech, VERBS! Verbs are words that can describe actions or a state of being. We can even use verbs to tell when a sentence takes place! You can find verbs in the predicate portion of a sentence. Often times the verb is the first word in the predicate portion of a sentence. Let's take the next few days to introduce you to a very important part of speech.
1)Use the tool Wordle to create a word cloud about some of the things you like to do and/or some of the things you are good at. Your cloud should end up being filled with action verbs! Make sure to type your name several times so it will appear as the largest word. Type one-word responses that describe what you like to do. I would type words like read, teach, and shop. Type 10 words. If you enjoy doing some of the words more than the others, just type those words a few more times than the others so they appear bigger.
