Action verbs are easy to pick out, they simply are words that you can do; listen to your song for a reminder. Linking verbs are a little harder to spot. Linking verbs are a way to connect a noun and describing words.
Example - Mrs. Williams is nice.
The word nice is a word that describes Mrs. Williams, and the linking verb is hooks it all together.
